Volunteer FAQs

What is Night to Shine?

Night to Shine is held on the same night at every host church all around the globe on Valentine’s Day weekend. This year it will be held on February 13, 2026.

Where is Night to Shine held?

Naples Night to Shine is hosted at Center Point Community Church in Naples, FL, at:

6590 Golden Gate Pkwy

Naples, FL 34105

What can I expect at Night to Shine?

Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet, complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining stations, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, prom favors for each honored guest, a Respite Room for parents and care-takers, and of course, dancing! Each guest receives a crown or tiara because they are all kings and queens. It is a night not only for guests to shine, but for churches to shine, for volunteers to shine, and most importantly, for Christ to shine.

Do I need prior experience or knowledge of special needs to volunteer?

Absolutely not! We’re looking for anyone who wants to celebrate the value of life and shower our guests with God’s love!

What is the time requirement to volunteer at Night to Shine?

All volunteers are required to attend ONE 1-hour training session in January on location at Center Point Community Church. Dates and times are below and on the registration form.

On the day of the prom, all volunteers must arrive on-site between 3:00 and 4:30 PM (specific arrival times will vary by role and will be communicated during training). Prom will end at approximately 9:30 PM. Some roles may be dismissed early, but all volunteers are welcome to stay and help with the tear-down.

What do I need to do to volunteer?

All volunteers will need to attend a training session and complete either a (1) background check form if 18 or older OR (2) a parent permission form if under the age of 18.

All volunteers MUST attend ONE training session and have a completed background check or permission form to volunteer, regardless of past volunteer experience with Night to Shine.

This includes setting up tables, dance floor, decorations, lighting, signs and red carpet roll out. After Prom at the end of the evening, we need a lot of men and hands to help to take down decorations, tables, chairs, etc. and clean up the event space. If you are serving during prom, it's a good idea to bring a change of clothes and sneakers to help tear down.
